REPORT WRITING
Writing is an ability for communication for passing on thoughts or ideas and feelings from one individual to another. This can be done by writing reports, notices, messages, paragraphs and letters. A report is a short writing aptitude describing some event or occurrence.
Points to be remembered.
(1) A report is a piece of first-hand information about an incident, occurrence or event.
(2) It must be brief, to the point and systematic.
(3) It must be written in past tense
(4) It must be given a suitable heading or title, the name of the person writing it, date and the place from where it was written.
(5) The report should be simple. Exaggerations and superfluous matter should be avoided.

Kalain, December 4, 2019: A seminar on ‘Bed Bachao—Beti Padhao’ was held in our school. The Education Minister of Assam was the chief guest. Principals and teachers of different schools and the parents took part in the seminar. The speakers stressed the need of the hour to save the girl child and to teach the girl child. Everybody present pledged for the same.
2. A ‘Swachh Vidyalaya — Swachh Bharat’ campaign was organized in your school. Write a report in about 40 words highlighting the main features of the campaign.

Kalain, December 4, 2019: A Swachh Vidyalaya – Swachh Bharat Campaign was organized on the 6th of April in our school. All the teachers and the students of our school took part in the campaign with great enthusiasms. A special drive for the cleanliness of the classrooms, science lab, computer lab, library, office, sports room as well as the school campus was launched. The school Principal praised the efforts of the teachers and the students for organizing this campaign.

Kalain, December 4, 2019: The N.C.C. troop of our school attended an N.C.C. camp at Kalain from 20th November to 28th November. 40 cadets of our school troop took part in this camp with our N.C.C. officer Sh. R.C. Bansal. Our troop cadet Ranjit Singh was selected as the best cadet.

Silchar, December 5, 2019: Yesterday an Alto 800 car bumped into a loaded truck on the Sonai Road. Three of the five passengers in the car died on the spot. The driver and two other passengers were seriously injured and rushed to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital. The deceased belonged to Rampur village of outer Silchar.
